Add on Courses:

The Add-on Programs are the result of moves made by University Grants Commission (UGC) through the 1990’s to vocationalize and professionalize undergraduate education during the 8th and 9th Five Year Plan period. Add-on Courses are a way to add extra credits in the student’s academic profile which enhance his/her competence and skill in doing a job. This is one way in which a student can acquire a host of the skill set required by him/her in order to start working immediately after graduation. These courses undoubtedly help students in acquiring skill and knowledge in a particular area of study. As the bane suggests, Add-on courses supplement students’ knowledge and skill. While doing an Add-on Course, a student gets to test the profession and his competency before joining the industry. Nalbari Commerce College has been using this practice of offering Add-on Courses for its students since few years back. While implementing this practice, the college has been offering some vocationally and professionally oriented Add-on courses on Entrepreneurship, Taxation, Insurance, Soft Skill, Information Technology etc. Under this scheme, each student who completes an Add-on Course as per curriculum, is awarded with an additional certificate or diploma in the course opted for. The college is offering the following Add-on Courses for the Academic Session 2024-2025.
