Admission Procedure
Admission into the college is made strictly in order of merit and is governed by the college admission rules.
No application form will be accepted after the last date as notified and all incomplete application forms will stand automatically rejected.
As per Govt. O.M. No. AHE 250/2014/1, dated 05.06.2014 a maximum 5% of the seats may be earmarked as per break up given below.
(a) 2% for sports persons of sports recognized by IOA/SAI and also have represented District/State etc.
(b) 1% for wards of employees of the college
(c) 1% for NCC/Scouts/Guides
(d) 1% for the students with achievements in cultural activities.
These above mentioned seats are to be settled on the basis of merit list of students concerned in each category.
Intake Capacity and Eligibility Criteria
For H.S.(Commerce & Arts), B.Com. and B.A. :
Normally a cut off mark is determined by the Admission Committee depending upon the
number of seats and the number of applicants. Admission is done strictly on merit basis. Shortlisted
applicants are called for a personal interview for verification of their documents.
The college does not offer regular (Pass) course in B.Com Level under CBCS Course.
For B. Voc. (IT & Retail Management) :
Students passing 10+2 examination from any stream may apply for admission. Admission
will be on merit basis. Number of seats is restricted to 20 (twenty) for B. Voc. (IT) and 50 (fifty)
for B.Voc. (Retail Management).
For M. Com. :
For admission into M.Com. programme, an applicant must be a commerce graduate with
major and having at least 40% marks in aggregate in General Course. Admission into M.Com.
programme shall be made strictly on merit basis. Preference will be given to applicants having
Major/Honours in the concerned subject in order of merit or as specified by departments.
For PGDCA :
Any graduate can apply for admission into regular PGDCA programme under Gauhati
University. The admission shall be made on merit basis and subject to availability of seats.
Any Graduate can apply for admission into all course , Reservation policy as per
government norms is followed.
